TO THE NEXT 100...Centennial Celebrations have begun
United Way of the Concho Valley is thrilled to announce the celebration of its Centennial Year, marking 100 years of impact to the Concho Valley. Since 1925, United Way of the Concho Valley has been committed to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community. From funding essential programs to addressing critical needs in education, health, and financial stability, the organization has played a pivotal role in creating opportunities for all.
“Our centennial year is not just a time to reflect on the incredible work accomplished over the past 100 years but also a moment to look forward,” said Ashley Ammons, President/CEO, of United Way of the Concho Valley. “We are incredibly excited to celebrate our Centennial Year, a remarkable milestone that honors 100 years of community impact, collaboration, and transformative change in the Concho Valley!”
The Centennial Year will be a year-long celebration honoring the organization's remarkable journey, achievements, and impact. Yesterday we started the year by hosting a ribbon cutting with the San Angelo Chamber, introducing the “Ewe-nited” way sheep and mural (painted by Ashely Perales). Through various events, initiatives, and partnerships, United Way aims to reflect on its storied history while continuing to make an impact with a bold vision for the next century.
For a century, this organization has brought our community together to address challenges, uplift those in need, provide hope, and create opportunities for a brighter future. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, donors, and volunteers who embody the spirit of giving and community.
Thank you also to Schertz Landscape, WTX Construction Specialties and WTX Metal Craft for helping our offices start the next 100 years off looking amazing.
